Dr. Garrett Keim is a graduate of Penn State University and Drexel University College of Medicine. He completed pediatrics residency and pediatric critical care medicine fellowship at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHOP). Dr. Keim obtained his Master of Clinical Epidemiology degree from the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Keim is interested in improving outcomes for children requiring mechanical ventilation for Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome (ARDS). Dr. Keim developed a method of identifying ARDS in large datasets which he utilizes to further characterize outcomes in ARDS survivors. Additionally, he is pursuing the use of novel bedside technologies to tailor mechanical ventilation for critically ill children and researching the impact of this personalized mechanical ventilation on patient centered outcomes.
