Special Considerations for Transfer

Mechanism	Considerations
Burns	Patients with the following findings may be better served at a burn center: > 15% total body surface area (TBSA) partial thickness burn > 5% TBSA full thickness thermal burn (major burn) Severe electrical or chemical burn Burn with potential need for grafting
Vascular Injury	Patients 15 years of age or older with lower extremity vascular injuries should be considered for diversion to Penn Presbyterian
Pelvic Fractures	Patients 15 years of age or older with complex pelvic fractures should be considered for diversion to Penn Presbyterian
Call Transport Communication Center to initiate transfer: 42022
