Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) and CHOP Day Surgery Discharge Criteria

Vital Signs	Stable temperature HR, BP within normal limits or at baseline
Consciousness	Awake or back to baseline
Airway/Respiration	Patent airway with protective reflexes Adequate ventilation, normal RR No evidence of respiratory distress, baseline respiratory status
Bleeding	No excessive surgical drainage or bleeding
Movement	Moving all extremities, back to baseline
PO	Adequately hydrated No more than 2 emetic episodes and No emesis within 30 mins of discharge
Pain	Pain managed
Recovery Score	6
Discharge	Parent/legal guardian/responsible adult is present to escort Include Appropriate prescriptions Discharge instructions Hospital and personnel phone numbers
