Bedside Drainage

Bedside drainage is an option for children who can tolerate it. This may include:

Child ≥ 10 yrs old
Child/family amenable

Medications	HurriCaine spray Lidocaine 1% w/epinephrine
Supplies	Lac repair tray Suction set up with Yankauer in room 27 g needle, 5 or 10 mL syringe 18 g spinal needle 11 blade 18 g Angiocath 1L NS irrigation bottle Disposable MAC blade laryngoscope (if available)
